How It Works

Four Ways To Deal

Whether you're clearing out a collection or building one, the showroom has a lane for you. Real people, fair offers, no lowball games.

The shelves

What we carry

Vintage toys, diecast, figures, cards, comics, and apparel — every item in the vault is pre-owned and photographed exactly as it is. The showroom specializes in the lines that built collecting: vintage action figures (Transformers, G.I. Joe, Star Wars, TMNT, Power Rangers), diecast cars (Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Greenlight, and other 1:64 and 1:43 brands), Funko Pop (including vaulted and convention exclusives), sports and TCG trading cards (single cards, lots, and sealed product), vintage clothing, animation art, comics, and memorabilia. New finds are added weekly from estate buyouts and consignment, so the inventory you see today is not the inventory you will see next month.

Consignment, end to end

How consignment works

Consigning with The Toy Showroom is a single-step intake for the seller. Bring or ship the items to the Upland showroom; the staff photographs each piece, researches comparable sales, lists the item on the channel best suited to it, manages buyer questions and offers, and posts every transaction to the consignor's private portal in real time. The consignor's share is 60 percent of the net sale price (you keep 60%, the showroom keeps 40%); online marketplace sales and auction invoices are tracked as separate payout lines so you always see exactly which sale produced which dollar. Items can be re-priced, moved to auction, or returned to you at any point; nothing happens to your items without it showing on your portal. For larger estates, the staff schedules in-person pickup in the Inland Empire and surrounding areas.

Trading, the recorded kind

Trade via RelixNexus

For collectors who would rather swap than sell, the showroom is paired with RelixNexus, the in-house collector app. Line up a swap in the app, bring the item in, and the staff will host the trade on the showroom floor. The space is an indoor, staffed, on-camera, alarm-monitored room — not a parking-lot meetup. Because the trade is arranged in the app, the swap is recorded and the item's history follows it into the new collection. It is a useful option for collectors who have a specific want list and would rather trade value for value than pay cash out.

Visit in person

What to expect when you come in

The Toy Showroom is at 1302 Monte Vista Avenue, Suite #21, Upland, California 91786, in the College Business Park. Open hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM Pacific Time, and you are welcome to walk in and shop during that window — no appointment needed to browse, to buy, or to collect a website or Facebook Marketplace order. We are a small operation, so if you are driving any distance, call or text the showroom at (909) 870-7095 first and we will confirm someone is on the floor. Selling us a collection, consignment drop-off and estate buyouts are by appointment. A typical visit runs 20 to 45 minutes: the staff will walk the floor with you, pull items from the back that match your want list, and quote on any pieces you are considering for consignment or outright sale. Free parking is available on site. If you are bringing a collection in for sale or consignment, please call ahead so the staff can clear space and pull the right intake forms.

Pricing and payment

What it costs

For outright purchases, prices are set per item and shown on the product page; checkout runs on the showroom's own site with the same card processor you would expect anywhere else (card charges usually appear as KALIJDESIG on your statement). For consignments, the consignor's share is 60 percent of the net sale price; the showroom keeps 40 percent to cover intake, photography, listing, shipping, and payment processing. The split is the same across all categories — vintage toys, diecast, Funko, cards, comics, apparel. Outright-buy offers are made on a per-collection basis after the staff reviews photos and condition; most collections receive an initial offer within 24 hours of submission, and larger estates can be scheduled for in-person pickup in the Inland Empire and surrounding areas for a more accurate walk-through offer. There is no fee to submit a collection for consideration and no obligation to accept any offer.

Returns, authenticity, shipping

After the sale

Every item is pre-owned and graded on a fixed condition scale; a listing marked "New", "new with tags", or "sealed" describes the state of the item, not its provenance. The full authenticity and condition policy is on the dedicated page; the short version is that the staff photographs the actual item you will receive and the photos on the product page are the photos of the item you buy. Returns are accepted per the policy on the shipping and returns page; if a return is approved, the ledger reverses cleanly — your payout and the showroom's commission both — and the item goes back into inventory. Shipping is calculated at checkout from your address and is the real carrier rate, not a padded flat fee; local pickup at the Upland showroom is free and can be same-day if you call ahead. The Toy Showroom is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any brand it resells; all trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Does The Toy Showroom ship nationwide?

Yes. Online orders ship anywhere in the United States with insured, trackable packaging. Same-day pickup is available for local buyers in Upland, Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario, Claremont, Pomona, Chino, Fontana, and the greater Inland Empire. Local pickup orders can be collected during showroom hours (Tuesday–Saturday, 2:00–6:00 PM PT) once the order is confirmed paid.

What categories does The Toy Showroom specialize in?

Kali.J Design focuses on six collectible categories that hold value: vintage 1980s–1990s action figures (Power Rangers, TMNT, G.I. Joe, Star Wars), Transformers (G1 and modern collector lines), sealed and retired LEGO sets, Hot Wheels (Treasure Hunts, Red Line Club, premium series), Dragon Ball Z and other anime imports, and Star Wars collectibles (Hot Toys, Black Series exclusives, vintage Kenner). Pokémon trading cards are not accepted because authentication cannot be verified in-house.

What is The Toy Showroom at Kali.J Design?

The Toy Showroom is a physical showroom and online marketplace operated by Kali.J Design in Upland, California. It specializes in vintage toys, diecast vehicles, Funko Pop figures, comics, memorabilia, and rare collectibles. Inventory is restocked weekly from estate buyouts and consignment, and items can be purchased online with nationwide shipping or picked up same-day at the showroom. The showroom also serves as a consignment intake point for collectors looking to sell or trade through Kali.J Design.

Can collectors trade items through The Toy Showroom?

Yes. Trades are arranged through RelixNexus, the Kali.J Design collector app at https://relixnexus.com/trade, which records each item's history and provenance. Once a trade is agreed in the app, both parties can meet at the Upland showroom to complete the swap. Trades take place indoors in a staffed, camera-monitored, alarm-secured environment — not in a parking lot. Because the swap is logged in the app, the item's trade history follows it into future transactions.

How does Kali.J Design price items for consignment?

Kali.J Design uses eBay sold-comparable research and active marketplace listings for each item, then routes to the highest-yield channel: online auction for grails and rare items, fixed-price marketplace for mid-tier collectibles, live-selling for hyped drops, and the showroom floor for items that benefit from in-person inspection.

How can I contact The Toy Showroom?

Phone, text, or Telegram: (909) 870-7095. Email: [email protected]. Address: 1302 Monte Vista Ave #21, Upland, CA 91786. The fastest response during business hours is text or Telegram. After-hours messages are returned the next business day.

Can I consign collectibles at The Toy Showroom?

Yes. We accept consignments on a 60/40 split (you keep 60% of the net sale price). Items are displayed in our indoor showroom, listed online, and tracked through the RelixNexus app. Call (909) 870-7095 to discuss a consignment.

How does consignment work at The Toy Showroom?

Kali.J Design's consignment program handles the full sale lifecycle so the consignor is involved in only one step: intake. After submission through https://consignment.kalijdesign.com, accepted items are photographed, researched, cataloged, listed across the best-fit sales channels (online marketplace, auction, live-selling, in-store), and managed through the buyer transaction. The consignor keeps 60% of net proceeds and can track every item, status update, and payout through a private consignor portal. Items that do not sell are returned to the consignor at no charge.
